|   Our industrial links at the Jury’s Inn hotel in Glasgow have been very pleased with the results of our project and given us very positive feedback.   They have suggested putting forward this piece of work to the Green Tourism Business Scheme.   This scheme works towards more sustainable urban development programme as well as encouraging more environmentally friendly practice in the urban environment.  This would help to encourage other hotels and commercial building owners to become more aware of their energy consumption performance; and take steps to become more active in trying to reduce their consumption, the first step being to use this tool. Although the feasibility analysis of renewable technologies carried out for the Jury’s Inn hotel did not show any promising results, there is still scope for investing in these technologies.  A ‘greener’ image could be portrayed by the hotel if they decide to invest into a wind turbine installation; and this could potentially encourage other buildings located in the city centre of Glasgow to investigate the feasibility of these technologies; with a view to making an investment.         |
